It’s time to celebrate spring – the Kings of Spring! Heroes who leap off the pages of our favorite books. Heroes who make us sigh and dream and fan ourselves with each page we turn.
Heroes like my Governor and Watchman from the Immoral Virtue Trilogy.
The lovely ladies of Ocean 2 Ocean Book Promotions are once again hosting an exciting author/reader event on Facebook. Here’s what they have to say about it:
Contemporary or epic historical. Erotic or romantic comedy. Dark fantasy or dystopian. Multi-book series or novel-length standalone – regardless of delivery, most of our favorite books have one thing in common – your latest book boyfriend! Join the O2O team and a variety of talented authors as we celebrate the stories and their heroes who help us escape into other worlds and allow us to live other lives…if only for a couple hundred pages. There will be lots of games, contests, prizes…and surprises during the blog hop, so be sure to join us!
Along with book-chats, games, giveaways, secret reveals and other goodies (read that – giveaways!), there will also be a blog tour, and a book trailer contest. Vote for your favorite trailer, and you’ll be entered to win a prize. Yes, just for voting. Who could resist that?
Come join the fun – March 24th – 29th. I’ll be there with a secret reveal of my own (and a giveaway!) and I hope you;ll be there, too.
In fact…to get things going, everyone who comments to this post will be entered to win an e-Copy of one book from the Immoral Virtue trilogy. Winner’s choice. So… in the comments, answer two questions for me:
- What excites you the most about the coming of spring (or about spring itself?
- What “hero” feature, trait or habit gets you hot and bothered?
Answer in the comments and one winner will be chosen by 3/31/16. 🙂
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WE HAVE A WINNER!
Thank you for playing ladies! All of your names were tossed into a cauldron and then one was blindly chosen. That one was Suzy Fren, 🙂 Suzy, send me an email via my contact page and let me know which book in the trilogy you would like to receive. Please, also let me know where to send your gift copy and whether you would prefer it to be for Kindle or NOOK. Congrats!
1. Spring means no more snow and I hate shoveling.
2. I love when a hero really sees the heroine and gets her, like when he’s not just checking out her tits and ass but the whole package, even her nervous habits. I think that gives him substance and I like that, like, a lot.
Snow, ugh. I agree. Do you know we’re supposed to get some here tomorrow? As spring arrives, the inches will pile up.
I like your hero trait – quiet observation. Sexy as hell. I agree.
Thanks for playing, Annalee! Your name is in the pot (seems your name is always in the pot. lol). 😉
I love Spring because it is the renewing of life!! Everything is born and starts growing, it gives one hope!
I want my hero to be tough as nails and gentle as a lamb, loving and and listens when I talk. cuddles me when I need a shoulder and willing to kick butt for me when I need protected.
Spring gives one hope. That’s beautiful – and so true.
Your hero sounds delicious. There’s nothing quite as sexy as a tough as nails type of guy easing someone in his arms for a gentle cuddle. I love your hero description.
What excites me about Spring is the change in the weather. Flowers begin to bloom, Sun shines, it’s enough to make anyone smile.
I want my men to be Strong Alpha Males with a hard, muscle toned body. He has to be honest, loyal, fair, truthful, confident, have bravery, and the list goes on.
Every year, as winter winds down, I eagerly wait for the purple crocuses to poke through the still-cold soil. I often see them just before the last blast of frigid air – that is inevitably followed by a dusting of snow. I’m always in awe at how they survive, but they do and then the hyacinths come up right behind them. You’re so right. It is enough to make anyone smile.
Your strong alpha male sounds like many of the heroes I’ve read about – who make my heart thunder. Love your list.
Spring is my favorite season. All the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. It’s a happy time and my birthday is in April. ?
I want my male to a dominant alpha who is loving and loyal but who will punish you if your bad. Sexy, great in bed and one who can cook is a plus.
Happy (early) Birthday, Suzy! No wonder it’s your favorite season – your childhood memories must be so fulfilling and light. Love this.
Oh my but your hero sounds scrumptious and naughty! Dominant, loving, punishing…and good in the kitchen! Just think what he could do with a wooden spoon…
1) I love the newness of the season how everything comes back to life like the flowers and the trees
2) I get hot and bothered by a man in uniform. Also if he shows his alpha qualities then I melt right there.
The newness of the season does it for me as well. The air is different in spring – somehow light and refreshing. Hopeful.
A man in uniform – that is indeed a definite turn on. For me, it means he’s not only able to jump in to save the day, but he’s aware of everything around him, silently observing, thinking, ready. Damn. That is definitely sexy.
